Glen Burnie Museum And Site

Winchester, VA

This historic site of twenty-five acres contains an elegant country home begun in the 18th-century, along with an extensive collection of fine arts, decorative arts, and extraordinary gardens developed by Julian Wood Glass, Jr., a descendent of the home's builder and the City of Winchester's founder. The master plan provided a "road map" for determining the space requirements and design concept for the development of a new museum on the property which will focus on the theme, "Making a Home in the Shenandoah Valley."
